The 9th China International Environmental Protection Exhibition (CIEPEC 2008)

Shanghai, China - This is one of the most famous international environmental show with the largest scale and the longest history in China.

China International Environmental Protection Exhibition & Conference (CIEPEC), sponsored by State Environmental Protection Administration of China, and organized by China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, has been held every two years since 1986. CIEPEC is the most famous international environmental show with the largest scale and the longest history in China. It has attracted many international environmental protection enterprises from North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific who are willing to enter the Chinese market. With the perfect combination of specialization and integration, localization and internationalization, CIEPEC is the most influential environmental protection event in China.

This Asia Interprise EU-China Environmental Technologies2008, co-financed by the European Commission, offers the companies an excellent opportunity to get information about their target market. The meetings will be scheduled from 25th to 28th of April 2008 for the Chinese and European Companies, taking into consideration their individual requests, the company's profile and the objectives they expect to achieve. By organising the matchmaking in this way, Consorzio Italasia and its partners aim to create an arena for meaningful and successful business meetings for the Environment Sector. The meetings will be organised during the first 2 days in the framework of the exhibition CIEPEC+EPTEE 2008. Technical plants visits will be organised on 25th of April in Chongqing.

Asia-Invest was launched in 1998 and aims to promote the internationalisation of European and Asian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For the period 2006-2007 it will continue to support the exchange of experience, networking and matchmaking among European and Asian business organisations to promote the greater integration of European and Asian companies and the transfer of know-how and technology between the two regions. This is achieved by supporting multilateral partnership projects between intermediary business organisations in the European Union and South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia. With its Asia-wide approach, the programme will serve to bring European and Asian operators together to help them benefit from trade and economic liberalisation.

The Commission has provided EUR 20 000 000 to implement a new phase of the Asia-Invest Programme for 2006-2007. This follows previous commitments of EUR 67 000 000.
