National Conference on Design and Concurrent Engineering (DECON) 2008

Melaka, Malaysia - DECON 2008 aims to be the platform for discussions and exchange of ideas in design, concurrent engineering and manufacturing activities at large to foster closer mutual ties between both academicians and the industry.

INTRODUCTION

Concurrent Engineering (CE) is generally recognized as a practice of incorporating various life-cycles into the early stages of design. CE is also known as simultaneous engineering, forward engineering and integrated engineering development. To take full advantage of CE, manufacturers have to respond to the market demand by improving the total development process. Thus, design excellence is crucial for the sustainability of manufacturing organizations.

Following the success of DECON 2006, again DECON 2008 aims to be the platform for discussions and exchange of ideas in design, concurrent engineering and manufacturing activities at large to foster closer mutual ties between both academicians and the industry.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
