Jointly organized by the global Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) andthe Taiwan Bio Industry Organization (Taiwan BIO) since 2019, this notably annualgathering recognizes Asia as a region of growing importance within the industry, andcelebrates Taiwan’s standing as a leading biotechnology hub. The event bringstogether bio-industry executives and investors from the globe to explore businessopportunities and to engage with Taiwan's emerging biotech sector.
The five-day gathering includes a three-day conference tracks – Innovation Forum,Investment Summit, Regional Collaboration Forum – featuring internationally-renowned speakers, company presentations, the BIO Partnering™ meetings, and afull program of focus symposia and workshops plus an international exhibition whilealso announcing the winners of the annual Taiwan BIO Awards, and BIO Asia Award.
Participation in 2024 was record breaking, including 2,200+ conference and130,000+ exhibition visits, and over 8,200 partnering meeting requests, a 66%increase in meetings scheduled over the year before, partnering is again expected tobe a hugely popular activity.
