DGIST Hosted the “Sensor Enterprise Council Forum” to Discuss the Future of the Sensor Industry

- Served as an opportunity for high-tech collaboration to accelerate the establishment of the sensor ecosystem

□ The Sensorium Institute of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST; President Kunwoo Lee) hosted the Sensor Enterprise Council Forum at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Suwon on November 14, 2024 (Thursday). It served as an opportunity to explore the future directions of the Korean sensor industry. The forum was prepared to discuss the future of the Korean sensor industry and explore various ways to collaborate between companies in the industry.

□ It was attended by high-profile figures from central and local governments, as well as related industries. Notable attendees included Kyungho Shin, Vice President for Research and Development at DGIST; Jongho Lee, former Minister of Science and ICT; Daeyoung Kim, Investment Attraction Division Head at Daegu Metropolitan City; Sangick Park, CEO of Samyoung S&C; Hyoderk Park, President of the Korea Sensor Industry Society; Heeyeoun Kim, President of the Korean Sensor Society; and Kitaek Lim, PD of the Korea Planning and Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology.

□ The forum began with welcoming remarks by Vice President for Research and Development Kyungho Shin, followed by a keynote speech by former Minister of Science and ICT Jongho Lee, who talked about the industrial importance and future outlook of sensor technology.
