DGIST Professor Kyungjoon Park Appointed as Division Editor of JCN, One of the World’s Most Prestigious Journals

DGIST Professor Park has been selected as the Wireless Communications Division Editor for the Journal of Communications and Networks

□ Professor Kyungjoon Park from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology, (DGIST; President Kunwoo Lee) has been appointed as the Wireless Communications Division Editor for the Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN), an SCI-listed international journal jointly published by the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

 

□ The JCN is an internationally recognized journal in the field of information and communications technology (ICT), with more than 60 editors across 4 divisions. Each division is led by two Division Editors, and Professor Park has been offered the important role of overseeing manuscripts submitted to the division of Wireless Communications. Professor Park’s appointment is expected to have a variety of positive impacts, including expanding the international influence of Korean researchers, developing the ICT industry, and promoting global academic exchanges.

 

□ Professor Park said, “I am deeply honored to be appointed as a Division Editor at the JCN, and I will fully commit myself to contributing to the development of the ICT field. More specifically, I will select studies that have both academic value and practicality and expand academic discussions for advances in ICT.”

 

□ Professor Park continues to actively conduct research in the fields of cyber-physical systems, robot operating systems, and smart manufacturing. Furthermore, he is noted worldwide for his research on the network analysis of robot operating systems and has provided practical technical solutions to combine ICT and smart manufacturing.
