Biomaterials Scientist working on surface engineering of medical implants used for the replacement of hip knee, cardiac and dental .

Geetha Manivasagam, is an interdisciplinary expert working on materials processing, surface engineering and biocompatibility of biomaterials used for the orthopedic, dental and cardiac applications. She is the founder Director for Centre for Biomaterials ,Cellular and Molecular Theranostics which consists of an interdisciplinary team members working on tissue engineering, cell therapy and drug discovery and biomaterials. She is ranked as No.1 Materials Scientist (2009-2014) by MHRD,India and Ranked Top 2% Scientist from India by the analysis performed by Stanford University. Her Centre focuses on Translationation research in the area of Drug discovery for cancer, Immune adaptive materials, Cancer Imaging,biomechanics  and 3D and 4D   Bioprinting.
