Asst.Prof.Dr. Puvadol Doydee

Puvadol Doydee is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agro-Industry at Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, Sakon Nakhon Province, Thailand.

     He obtained his BSc degree (Fisheries) from KU, Bangkok, Thailand in 1998. He has worked in the field of fisheries and water resources as fisheries biologiest--government officer since then. In 2000, he was awarded a full-scholarship from SEAMEO-SEARCA to pursue his MSc degree in IT for Natural Resources Management at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Bogor, Indonesia and graduated in 2002. In 2005, he was awarded a DAAD-SEARCA full-scholarship to pursue his PhD program in Environmental Science at University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) and graduated in 2008.

     He used to be involved and connected with team leader in the exchange student program between KU and Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS), USA in 2003. In 2004, he was selected from the organizing committee of CZAP 2004 to present his research paper as oral presentation in Brisbane, Australia. He also have experienced with Coastal Habitat Resources Management (CHARM) Project hosted at DoF by working with the international consultants as local host in 2004. During he stayed in the Philippines, he was elected from international students and served as the President of the International Students Association (ISA) of UPLB in 2006-2007. In 2009, he was selected by the panels of EPPSEA, Singapore for presenting his proposal in Hanoi, Vietnam. In 2010, He was granted to attended the environmental economic regional course in Philippines and was selected to be exchange researcher for doing research on Fisheries and Remote Sensing at Hokkaido University (HU), Japan. During 3-11 August 2011, he joined Asian Economic Community (AEC) program for Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Pranom and Mukdahan Provinces chapter working at Thai, Lao PDR, China and Vietnam as team leader on aquatic environment and fisheries section as consultant. In December 2013, he presented the concepts and application of Geospatial method to the 4th international conference on Conservation Agriculture (CA) at Battabang, Cambodia. In 2016, he introduced RACA system for small-scale farmers for coping with disaster risk and climate chnage.

     Currently, his research is on aquatic environment and water resources management. He serves as KU-WEF nexus coordinator from 2020 to 2024 as appointed by KU. He is an advisor to the Dean for International Affair at his institute. He is an alumni of ASEAN-U.S. Science and Technology Fellow. Today and in the future, his research is focusing on remote sensing technology for aquatic ecosystem, climate change and SDGs using SEP and multidisciplinary approach.
