Use of GEN AI in APEC APIP

APEC Policy Partnership on Food Security wrapped up a recent workshop on Use of Gen AI in APIP with Eminent Data Scientist Prof Wang Jian Ping, Prof Wang Shiqi & Xie Wei Hao from City University of Hong Kong. This event marked a significant milestone for APEC Policy Partnership on Food Security (PPFS) - an economic platform established in 2011 to strengthen public-private cooperation to address food security issues in the region. PPFS focuses on promoting public-private partnerships and investments to ensure greater resilience in the food systems and ABAC’s recommendations for a whole-of-system approach for food production. Held in a collaborative environment amongst APEC SOM 1 delegates, the workshop focused on the application of GEN AI to increasing private sectors involvement APEC PPFS.

It is also heartening to note the robust engagement from all participants, leading to strong concurrence on the objectives of the workshop.
The workshop was a great success, with the post-workshop survey showing strong interest in holding a second session. 100% of participants reported benefiting from the workshop.
A big thank you and congratulations to Prof. Wang Jian Ping, Prof. Wang Shiqi, Xie Wei Hao, and City University of Hong Kong. We look forward to continuing our partnership to unlock the full commercial potential of this project.
