ABSTRACT
A 9.0 magnitude earthquake, and tsunami, has damaged nuclear power stations in Fukushima, Japan. The mishap has caused a lot of concern among members of the public at large on the current status of the issue and the implications to Hong Kong. Media attention as shown by the number of enquiries in the last few days has been overwhelming. The information released has been very confusing and sometimes conflicting and rumors and unnecessary panic abound. I have been following the course of events in the last few days. A talk to report my understanding of the situation could be useful for this situation.
