Senior Citizens Party List donates scholarship to UPD

The Senior Citizens Party List (SCPL) led by (second from right) Representative David L. Kho signed a memorandum of agreement with the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), through Chancellor Caesar A. Saloma, for a scholarship grant to the University on March 16 at the Office of the Chancellor.

SCPL donated a P1-million scholarship grant to UPD to benefit economically disadvantaged but scholastically qualified students enrolled in business and proper law courses.

The grant will cover school fees, book allowance and monthly stipend per semester which shall take effect in the first semester of Academic Year 2012 to 2013.

Students who are interested to apply for the scholarship must be a natural born Filipino citizen; of good moral character; have passed the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT); a bona fide freshman enrolled in BS Business Administration, BS Business Administration and Accountancy and first year Juris Doctor student of the College of Law (CL); must come from families with an annual gross income not exceeding P 300,00.00; and must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time the grant was awarded.
