Microelectronics and Embedded Systems Workshop

A wide range of topics will be addressed including body sensor networks, bio-inspired engineering, low power systems, wireless networks, communication centric design and SoC design methodologies.

The British High commission, Singapore; The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK; The Centre for High Performance Embedded systems, Nanyang Technological University; Singapore and Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore will be hosting the UK- Singapore Microelectronic Embedded Systems Workshop to foster exchanges and establish interactions between researchers from UK, Singapore and the region. The workshop is held with the aim of stimulating discussions, exchanging ideals and promoting collaborations between academia and industry in the UK, Singapore and ASEAN.

The workshop will be held over 2 days at the Biopolis, and key speakers from the UK will include Warren East, CEO, ARM and Prof. Steve Furber from the University of Manchester. Other distinguished speakers from the UK includes Prof. Guang Zhong Yang (Imperial College, London), Prof. Roger Woods (QUB), Christopher Turner (Cambridge Consultants), Dr. Tony Harker (ISLI), Prof. Simon Moore (Cambridge), Dr Tanya Vladimirova (Surrey), Prof. Peter Wilson (Southampton) and Prof. Andrew Tyrrell (York)
