The 38th International Conference on Computers and Industrial Engineering is organized to disseminate recent theoretical and methodological developments, significant technical applications, case studies and survey results in the area of Computers, Industrial Engineering/Management and other related areas.

Beijing, holder of 2008 Olympics, will be the venue of the 38th conference on Computers and Industrial Engineering, from Oct. 31 to Nov.2, 2008. It welcomes the participants to enjoy the wonderful scenes with the new Olympic Stadiums, which have memorized the global pageant. Abstracts/ full paper submission
Papers and abstracts are accepted for review on the condition that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published or presented at a conference. An international advisory committee will referee all contributions. A list of the advisory committee members will be appended to the conference proceedings. Abstracts and full Papers are to be submitted electronically, in DOC and PDF format. They must follow the conference official template, which should be downloaded from the conference website.

Identify your preferences in the technical area(s) of interest listed above (tracks) in order to assist us in arranging your presentation at an appropriate session. Include the following details in your abstract/full paper: Title, Name of Author(s), Affiliation(s), and full address of the corresponding author, including E-mail address, phone, and fax numbers. Submit the abstract, maximum 200 words in length; for full paper submission, paper length is limited to 10 pages.

Publication

All abstracts and final papers will be published in the conference proceedings in CD format. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work for review and potential publications in a special issue of Computers & Industrial Engineering: An International Journal. Deadline for regular registration is September 30, 2008.

Each registration can accept two papers of the same author.
The fees include all concurrent scientific sessions, industrial sessions, and welcome reception with snacks (on October 31, 2008); lunch, coffee breaks and a banquet during the three days of the conference; one copy of the conference proceedings on CDROM and the conference kit.
