Japan, the United States, and China and Integration of East Asia - Conceptual Issues and Policy Priorities -

It is our great pleasure to announce that Waseda University Organization for Japan-US Studies is holding the third international symposium “Japan, the United States, and China and Integration of East Asia: Conceptual Issues and Priorities”.

This symposium will start discussion in the areas where the regional cooperation is indispensable in East Asia, i.e., environmental issues and resource management, so as to explore specific roles that Japan, the United States, and China can play in the process of East Asian integration respectively. Having the discussions in the first session as a starting point, the panel of session two will look at possibilities for successful political and economic integration of East Asian countries in a broader sense.
