First Annual Symposium of Protein Society of Thailand - Challenges in Protein Research in Thailand (October 24-25, 2006)
Venue: Chulabhorn Research Institute Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand
Sponsored by: The Thailand Research Fund, Chulabhorn Research Institute, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University
The symposium on “Challenges in Protein Research in Thailand” represents the first annual symposium of the Society since its establishment in January 2006. The objective is for the protein researchers to keep abreast with this rapidly growing area, and to promote exchange of knowledge and expertise among the protein researchers in Thailand. The topics to be covered range from classical protein studies, three-dimensional structure and function, proteomics to applications of advanced molecular techniques and high-throughput technologies to study protein interactions, with the ultimate goal of gaining deeper insights into complex biological systems.
The highlights of the program include keynote lectures by renowned protein experts, and invited lectures from well-known Thai scientists. Oral and poster presentations by young scientists and students would provide a platform for intellectual discussion, exchange of knowledge and collaboration.
Confirmed Keynote Speakers are:
Prof. Richard Simpson (Australia)
Prof. Wenguey Wu (Taiwan)
Prof. M.R. Jisnuson Svasti (Thailand)
Prof. Suthat Fuchaoren (Thailand)
There is no registration fee for attending the symposium, but registration is required in order to secure your seats. For further information, please visit the Protein Research Society website at http://cbag2.sc.mahidol.ac.th/protein/
