□ On July 9, DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) signed an MOU with IBK Bank (Chairman & CEO Min-young Chang) to jointly nurture young talent in science and technology, introducing the “Future Youth Science and Technology Talent Support Project.”
□ Grounded in IBK Bank’s ESG management principles, the agreement aims to create an environment where DGIST students can fully focus on education and research, while supporting diverse programs to nurture the nation’s future science and technology leaders.
□ Through this partnership, the two institutions agreed to actively pursue: building a sustainable cooperative framework for nurturing future science and technology talent; linking with the Research Control Management System (RCMS); jointly operating educational, cultural, and arts programs; and improving student living and campus conditions.
□ This collaboration is a new model of ESG partnership, transcending financial support to directly improve the research environment for science and technology talent. It is expected to create a stable foundation where students can fully dedicate themselves to study and research.
□ DGIST President Kunwoo Lee stated, “Through this partnership with IBK Bank, we will build a foundation for ‘K-Science Talent’ to grow in a healthier and more vibrant way.”
□ IBK Bank Deputy CEO Sanghee Kim remarked, “We will actively support science and technology talent who will shoulder Korea’s future, ensuring they can focus on research in a healthy environment. We hope this agreement becomes a strong foundation for nurturing ‘K-Science Talent.’”
□ Building on this partnership, DGIST plans to further strengthen student welfare and the educational environment. The institute will continue to create an optimal campus ecosystem where students can fully immerse themselves in study and research, while concentrating all its efforts on nurturing world-class interdisciplinary science and technology talent to lead the nation’s future.
