THE FIFTH INTERNATIONAL LITERACY CONFERENCE
Penang, Malaysia - The theme of the conference is Literacy and Citizenship: Pathways to Sustainable Education.
The International Literacy Research Unit is hosting a three-day international conference in collaboration with Penang State Education, National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN) and Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (MELTA). It has previously held four successful conferences in 1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005. The theme of the conference is Literacy and Citizenship: Pathways to Sustainable Education and it is scheduled to be held from 25th – 27th July 2007 at the Berjaya Georgetown Hotel, 1-Stop Midlands Park, Penang.
