Dr. Asri Oktavioni Indraswari
I am currently taking my role in the Geosciences Department, Universitas Indonesia, as Assistant Professor, focusing on Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology. I have just finished my Dphil (PhD) in University of Oxford on the effects of sediment thermal maturation on potential Hg fingerprints for large igneous volcanism in the sedimentary record. My project is trying to answer how Hg behaves during thermal maturation of sediments (heat-driven reactions that alter the composition of organic matter, e.g., conversion of sedimentary organic matter to petroleum or cracking of oil to gas) and what are the implications in terms of Hg mobility in sediment cores.
My previous work has focused on petroleum geosciences including sedimentation processes, sub-surface sedimentary deposits model, paleoenvironment/paleogeography analysis from sediment cores, petroleum system evaluation, and reservoir quality evaluation.
