□ On Tuesday, April 8, DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) donated 10 million KRW to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea to support wildfire recovery efforts and aid for victims in North Gyeongsang Province.
□ The donation was raised to support victims who had lost their homes and livelihoods due to the wildfires, with voluntary participation from the entire DGIST membership, including faculty, researchers, and staff. DGIST participated in this effort to stand in solidarity with the local community, and the collected fund is set to be used for disaster recovery and emergency relief through the Daegu Community Chest of Korea.
□ President Kun-woo Lee of DGIST stated, “I would like to extend my deepest condolences to all those affected by the recent wildfires, and I sincerely hope for your swift return to a peaceful daily life.
