Mr. Zheimie H. Zamri
Zheimie H. Zamri is a senior research assistant at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) in Brunei. He is actively involved in youth community initiatives through various NGOs in the country. From 2019 to 2023, he served as one of the youngest individuals in the role of executive secretary and youth moderator of the Village Consultative Council under the Brunei Ministry of Home Affairs. During this period, he engaged in numerous projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports (MYCS), the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Health. His projects primarily focus on education, health, social and volunteer services, women's issues, and economic empowerment. He also worked as a tutor for underprivileged students for nearly two years through MYCS projects in the Brunei Muara Districts. In 2022, MYCS honored him as a prominent volunteer for his active role in promoting volunteerism in the Sultanate during the Day of Actions 2022. He also contributed to the development of the National Youth Policy for the years 2020 to 2035. To date, he has volunteered for over 100 projects and organized more than 30 events in partnership with government agencies. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Laws, a Master's in International Law, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), a Bachelor of Shariah Law (Hons), and a Higher National Diploma in the Islamic Criminal Justice System from UNISSA, Brunei. He has authored indexed articles, including those listed in Scopus, as well as books and several conference papers presented at both national and international levels.
