Ts. Dr. Zunaida Zakaria
Zunaida Zakaria is Senior Lecturer for Bachelor of Polymer Engineering with Honours at Faculty of Chemical Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). She has more than 15 years of experience in Polymeric Materials, Processing, and Characterization. She received her B.Eng in Polymer Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She completed her MSc in Materials Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia with research title “Effect of Parameter Changes on Structure-Properties of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Foam” in 2007 and her PhD in Polymer Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia with research title” Compressive Properties and Simulation of Low Density Polyenthylene Foams “ in 2013.
She was the Program Chairman for Polymer Engineering Programme at School of Materials Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis since March 2015 to February 2019. Her research interest in the Polymeric Foam (Rubber Foam, Thermoplastic Foam and Thermoset Foam), Syntactic Foam, Epoxy Macroballoon, Failure Mechanism in Polymeric Foam and Syntactic Foam, Microbeads and Polymer Processing, Testing and Characterization. She is research fellow under Geopolymer and Green Technology, Centre of Excellent (CEGeoGTech), Universiti Malaysia Perlis. She has published one book entitle “Busa Polimer: Ramuan dan Teknik Pemprosesan “ under USM Publisher and 3 book chapters. She is editorial member for the ‘International Journal of Nanoelectronics and Materials (IJneaM)’ and ‘Journal of Materials Science and Applications (IJMSA)’
She recently received her professional technologist from MBOT. She is also a member of Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), Plastic Rubber Institutes of Malaysia (PRIM), and International Association of Engineers. She has won GOLD award in several exhibitions such as Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2020, Malaysia Technology Expo 2021 & 2020 (MTE 2021 & MTE 2020), International Warsaws Invention Show (IWIS 2019), Poland, World Invention Creativity Olympic (WICO 2019) Seoul. Korea, International Engineering Invention & Innovation Exhibition (i-ENVEX) 2016, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and 2016 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition” (IPITEX 2016), Thailand.
