Pertanika Journal indexed by leading analytics group

The Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology has now been included in the Web of Science's Emerging Sources Citation Index, a leading online resource tracking the impact of scientific journals and research worldwide.

This was confirmed in a congratulatory message received from the Director, Publisher Relation, Marian Hollingsworth sent to the Chief Executive Editor, Nayan Kanwal, Pertanika Journals.

The Emerging Sources Citation Index covers more than 5,000 journals identified by the Web of Science editorial team as important to opinion leaders, funders and evaluators. Being included in this index will help further increase the profile and exposure of Pertanika research to the global scientific community.

Founded in 1993, Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology is the official journal of the Universiti Putra Malaysia. Published quarterly, the journal focuses on research in science, engineering and related fields, such as bioinformatics, chemistry and nanotechnology. Papers published in the journal complete a double-blind peer review process.

Web of Science was started by Thomson Reuters and is now run by the U.S.-based Clarivate Analytics. The group tracks the number of times papers are cited and by whom, allowing users to discover robust research trends.
