THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ASIA NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES FOR "ASIAN INNOVATION AWARDS 2010"

Launches Inaugural Credit Suisse Technopreneur of the Year Award

The Wall Street Journal Asia is now accepting entries for the prestigious "Asian Innovation Awards 2010." The awards, presented in a three-year sole partnership with Credit Suisse, recognize innovations that break with conventional processes in creative ways to improve quality of life or productivity.

The deadline for entries is April 9, 2010.

The Asian Innovation Awards is committed to finding the next big ideas in Asia, from entirely new inventions to the advancement of a classic. Entries to the awards may come from individuals, small businesses, large corporations and academia in Asia Pacific.

An independent panel of judges selected by The Wall Street Journal Asia will judge this year's entries. The three criteria for judging are: level of creativity or degree of innovation; quality of execution; and the potential impact on quality of life or productivity.

Twelve finalists will be selected from the entries and each finalist will be profiled each week for a consecutive 12 weeks in The Wall Street Journal Asia as well as online at www.asia.WSJ.com<http://www.asia.wsj.com/>.

All entries will also be considered for The Credit Suisse Technopreneur of the Year Award that honors the entry that best applies technology with the greatest potential for commercial success. This award recognizes the importance of having a strong business model behind an innovation. That, in turn, ensures a new application makes it to the market where it can benefit a much wider audience.

The winners for both awards will be announced in a special feature of The Wall Street Journal Asia.
