Dr. Kazuhiro Hono, NIMS Fellow and Managing Director of Magnetic Materials Center, had received the TMS Fellows Award from the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS).
TMS is a professional organization headquartered in the United States that encompasses the entire range of materials and engineering and the TMS Fellows Award is the highest honor bestowed by TMS.
The citation is his seminal contributions to the understanding of structure-property relations in metals and alloys and functional materials. The award was presented at the TMS 2011 140th Annual Meeting held in San Diego, California in March 1, 2011.
