On August 27, Professor Ichiro Mori, the Department of Machinery and Engineering, was elected as a Fellow of CIRP at the General Assembly held in Budapest, Hungary.
CIRP is renowned as the most authoritative international society in the field of production engineering. It consists of members only, and the number of members is limited by individual countries.
There are a total of 330 members including honorary members. In order to become a member, fellow2.jpgachievement in research, including the publication of papers, is considered and the membership is reviewed every three-years depending on the research achievement.
Professor Mori was inducted as a Fellow due to his remarkable research contribution after 8 years of being a member.
