We are seeking a highly motivated candidate as a research assistant in the Quantitative Proteomics Core in collaboration with the Kappei lab at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI). Our team addresses research questions on nucleic acid-protein interactions with quantitative mass spectrometry, cell biological and genetic approaches applied to cancer research and we further support research activities at CSI as part of the Quantitative Proteomics Core with quantitative proteomics solutions to study protein expression, protein interactions as well as post-translational modifications. Specifically, the successful candidate will support the team in terms of sample processing, maintenance of the mass spectrometer, establishing of novel proteomics approaches with a particular focus on Clinical Proteomics applications. In addition, the work scope will include administrative duties (including ordering and budgeting) and general laboratory organization (including safety standards). We are offering a position in a stimulating, diverse and international research environment as well as the opportunity to gain expertise in a highly demanded technology.

Laboratory Executive - Dr Anthony Khong

A full-time Laboratory Executive in the Khong laboratory is available starting on May.1 2023. This position’s goal is to support the Principal Investigator and his team regarding research, laboratory, and administrative needs. The successful candidate will also help Assistant Prof Anthony Khong set up the new laboratory at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore. The Khong laboratory will study how biomolecular condensates are involved in cancer biology.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a world-leading cancer researcher to undertake pioneering research on the role of genome instability in human carcinogenesis (eg., see Venkitaraman Science (2014) PMID:24675954 and Venkitaraman DNA Repair (2019) PMID:31337537). Laboratory Executive (Microscopy) – Dr Anand Jeyasekharan

This position is an appointment to CSI MMA Core. The microscopy section of the MMA Core offers scientists a variety of confocal (Zeiss LSM880 with Airy Scan, Nikon A1R), widefield epifluorescence and live-time imaging microscopes (Zeiss and Olympus) to facilitate good-quality image acquisition for their research. We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated staff to anchor the day-to-day running of our microscopy session including the training new users and helping to optimise the settings of the equipment for optimal imaging of research materials. This staff will also assist in various administrative duties including purchasing and billing, as well in contributing towards other core services when appropriate.
