35 Lingnan University scholars named among Research.com’s “World’s Best Scientists 2026”.
35scholars from Lingnan University have been named in the latest "World’s Best Scientists 2026" rankings published by Research.com, a leading international academic platform. This achievement underscores the University’s exceptional research capabilities and academic contributions, gaining international recognition for Lingnan’s commitment to "Liberal Arts + Technology" and academic excellence.
The listed scholars represent a diverse range of disciplines, including Business and Management, Computer Science, Materials Science, Mathematics, Political Science, and Psychology. Prof Richard M. Walker, Director of LUIAS and Lee Shau Kee Foundation Chair Professor of Public Administration, is ranked first in Chinain the field of Political Science. In addition, the University’s performance in Computer Science is particularly outstanding, with seven scholars making the list. Among them, Prof Xin Yao, Vice-President (Research and Innovation) and Tong Tin Sun Chair Professor of Machine Learning, is ranked 10th in China. Furthermore, Prof Siu Oi-ling, Head of the Department of Psychology and Lam Woo & Co Ltd Chair Professor of Applied Psychology, ranks 32nd in China for Psychology.
