Aamir Jalal Al-Mosawi

Aamir Jalal Al Mosawi is advisor in pediatrics and pediatric psychiatry at the Children Teaching Hospital of Baghdad Medical City.

Aamir Jalal Al-Mosawi is advisor in pediatrics and pediatric psychiatry at the Children Teaching Hospital of Baghdad Medical City. He is an expert trainer at the National Training and Development Center of the Iraqi Ministry of Health. He was the Head of Iraq Headquarter of Copernicus Scientists International Panel (2006-October, 2020). Currently he is the Iraqi pediatrician and hospital-based clinician with the highest H-index at Scopus.

He was the founding editor of the first Iraqi international peer-reviewed medical journal “The New Iraqi Journal of Medicine (2005-2013)” which is the first Iraqi medical to be included in Scopus. He is member of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) since 2004, and also of the Eastern Mediterranean association of Medical editors (EMMAME) since 2004. He is also member of the advisory council the International Association of Medical Colleges (IAMC), since 2008. He served as a reviewer for many international peer-reviewed medical journals including The BMJ, Acta pediatrica Nephrology, Medical Science Monitor , Therapy (Clinical practice), The Lancet, Journal of pediatric neurology,  Southern medical journal, Clinical Anatomy, International Brazilian Journal of Urology,  International Journal of Dermatology,  Fundamental & Clinical Pharmacology, International Journal of Infections in the Developing World, Journal of Renal Nutrition. In the past, he also served as head of the department of pediatrics at the University hospital in Al Kadhimiyia, and the physician in charge of CME center in the hospital (2004-2008). In the past, he also served as head of the department of pediatrics at the University hospital in Al Kadhimiyia. He was also member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA) for few years from 2001, and he became fellow and member of the Association of Clinical Scientists in 2006. He was also a founding member of the original Iraqi association for nephrologists urologists (2000-2003) whih is no longer present.
