□ The Convergence Talent Academy at DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) has signed an MOU with Dasa High School, Posan High School, and Hwawon High School, autonomous public high schools located in Dalseong-gun, Daegu. Under this partnership, the institutions will work together to nurture local scientific talent and cultivate convergence talent for the future.

□ This agreement was established to support local high school students in developing scientific thinking and creativity by leveraging DGIST’s advanced educational and research infrastructure, ultimately helping them grow into convergence talent. DGIST and the partner high schools plan to build a sustainable model of educational collaboration through an ongoing partnership.

□ Key areas of collaboration include conducting joint research projects to support the operation of Autonomous Public High Schools 2.0 and foster talent, running scientific research mentoring programs, offering educational programs and special lectures for scientific organizations, and providing instructor support for various educational activities.

□ Building on this agreement, DGIST plans to launch a joint high school education program for local students, offering opportunities for them to deepen their understanding of cutting-edge research and gain hands-on experience through research-based education. The program is scheduled to officially begin in the second half of this year.

□ Chang-won Seok, Director of the Convergence Talent Academy at DGIST, stated, “We will actively support students in gaining hands-on experience in scientific exploration through close collaboration with local high schools. We will also fully leverage DGIST’s educational capabilities to foster creative and convergence-driven local talent.”

□ Meanwhile, DGIST is contributing to the development of future science and technology talent by expanding science education in collaboration with the local community. The institution is also strengthening its role as a regional hub for fostering convergence talent through continuous educational partnerships and program development.
