□ DGIST(President Kunwoo Lee) announced the successful hosting of the "2025 DGIST-KNU Startup Festa" at the Daegu Grand Hotel on November 26. Co-hosted by DGIST and Kyungpook National University, it aimed to energize the startup ecosystem through exchanges between local startups.
□ This year's Startup Festa featured a variety of programs, including the Startup Entrepreneurship Award Ceremony, an Open Innovation Seminar, a DGIST-KNU joint IR presentation, and networking events. A total of 73 people attended, representing diverse members of the startup ecosystem, such as DGIST and local (or prospective) startups, officials from related organizations, and investors.
□ The Startup Entrepreneurship Award Ceremony, the first event of the festival, honored Hochun Lee, CEO of Solitech Co., Ltd., and Jungwoo Lee, CEO of Questor Co., Ltd., for their contributions to startups. The following Open Innovation Seminar featured talks by Minhee Lee, CEO of Lemon Tree Co., Ltd., and Taewook Heo, CEO of Viroute Co., Ltd. Collaborations with DGIST startups, including IMsystem Co., Ltd. and Repill, were shared to highlight their experiences and insights.
□ Additionally, six DGIST and KNU startups participated in a joint IR session where they received evaluations of their business performance and technological strengths from VC and TIPS members. Following this, practical investment opportunities were discussed through a group one-on-one meetup. The business lounge, which was simultaenously held, offered free mentoring and networking between startups and leading investment institutions, including Mirae Holdings, Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, KH Venture Partners, and Y&Archer.
DGIST President Kunwoo Lee stated, "The Startup Entrepreneurship Award and the expansion of open innovation are essential pillars for the qualitative growth of the startup ecosystem. We will keep working to grow the startup support network in partnership with local universities."
