□ DGIST announced the successful hosting of the “Corporate Innovation Growth Platform Launch Ceremony and K-Club Spring Workshop” on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the International Conference Hall in the Research Administration Building (R1).
□ The event aimed to present the newly developed “Corporate Innovation Growth Platform” by the DGIST Corporate Innovation Growth Center to regional businesses and relevant institutions, while fostering the formation of a collaborative ecosystem around the platform. The event brought together key stakeholders from academia, industry, and research, including K-Club member firms, leading regional companies, the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, DGIST Graduate School of Engineering, and participants from the Technical Venture-Leader Academy (TVA).
□ The launch ceremony featured several key segments: △ an introduction to K-Club, △ an overview of DGIST and the Corporate Innovation Growth Center, △ a presentation of the Corporate Innovation Growth Platform along with pilot operation results, △ an introduction to the Industry Transformation Innovation Factory Project, △ a showcase of outstanding research outcomes from the D-PIC (Planning Program for Corporate Customized Research Project), and △ a technical exchange session among companies, offering valuable insights and fostering active interaction among attendees.
□ Unveiled for the first time at the launch ceremony, the “Corporate Innovation Growth Platform” is a customized one-stop technology solution system that streamlines the entire process—from technology requests and problem redefinition to solution development—with the goal of addressing companies’ technical challenges and supporting their commercialization efforts. Participants enhanced their understanding of the platform’s functions and ease of use, demonstrating keen enthusiasm for its real-world implementation.
□ DGIST additionally outlined the progress of the “Industrial Transformation Innovation Factory Project” designed to advance regional industries, and highlighted exemplary research, development, and commercialization achievements from the D-PIC program, demonstrating potential avenues for technological partnerships with businesses.
□ DGIST Vice President for Research Kyung-ho Shin stated, “This launch ceremony has demonstrated that DGIST’s technological resources and platforms offer tangible support for companies’ innovative growth.” He added, “We remain committed to fostering regional economic development through technological assistance grounded in industry-academia-research collaboration and customized research outcomes.”
□ The DGIST Corporate Innovation Growth Center aims to implement customized strategies to improve companies’ commercialization outcomes and strengthen their technological edge, while proactively delivering specialized technology consulting services via the platform.
