Henna Liu says that she is honoured to participate as a student, showcasing the confidence, cultural literacy, and social awareness of youth from Hong Kong SAR.
This year’s pageant gathered champions from regional competitions across the country, making for a highly competitive event. Under the theme “City of Great Love, Blooming Dreams,” the competition emphasised the promotion of outstanding Chinese traditional culture, blending centuries of cultural heritage with the qualities of modern women. Through rounds including cheongsam (qipao) presentation and Q&A sessions, Henna impressed the judges with her poise, confidence, and insightful interpretation of Chinese cultural traditions, ultimately securing fourth place.
Reflecting on her achievement, Henna Liu said: “Participating in this national-level competition and achieving this result has been an unforgettable learning experience. The pageant gave me the opportunity to interact with outstanding young women from across the country and to learn about the unique cultural characteristics of different regions. I am honoured to participate as a student and to showcase the confidence, cultural awareness, and social responsibility of youth from Hong Kong SAR. I hope to become a bridge connecting young people from different regions, working together to preserve and pass on Chinese culture.”
Beyond her academic studies, Henna has actively participated in various on-campus and off-campus activities, developing communication, presentation, and organisational skills. She previously won the Hong Kong contestant title in the 19th Miss Global City Pageant in 2024.
