Essay competition - Feeding the poor today and everyone on the planet tomorrow: What are the issues, and what can be done to avert a global food crisis?

ResearchSEA has partnered with Helium.com to bring you the ResearchSEA – Asia Research News Citizen Journalism Awards. This essay contest is open until 30 May 2008. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of US$125. All ResearchSEA members are invited to take part.

To raise the profile of research issues in Asia, ResearchSEA has partnered with Helium to bring you the ResearchSEA – Asia Research News Citizen Journalism Awards.

The essay title is: Feeding the poor today and everyone on the planet tomorrow: What are the issues, and what can be done to avert a global food crisis?

Write a unique article in 1,000 words or less. Essays should be newsworthy, written in nonspecialist language and contain minimal research jargon. All references must be attributed. Where possible, the articles should highlight research conducted in or about Asia.

The winning writer will receive a ResearchSEA – Asia Research News Citizen Journalism Award and a cash prize of $125 and featured on ResearchSEA’s website and in email newsletters which are read by thousands of editors, journalists and public members around the world.

This contest will remain active through Friday, May 30, at noon. All ResearchSEA members are invited to take part.
