Taking the lead in promoting scientific innovations that help fight poverty, the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG), in partnership with Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC), has launched the iBoP Small Grants Program to provide support for researchers in Southeast Asia who help create S&T-based solutions to the development needs/problems of the marginalized base of the pyramid (BoP) sector in the region.
The 2008 iBoP Grant Competition is now officially open! Individual researchers and groups/institutions who are working on BoP issues and/or the development of S&T-related policies can apply for grants of up to 25,000 CAD (Canadian Dollars).
The deadline for submission of applications is on August 30, 2008.
