Muhamad Fauzi Zainudin of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, invented a new mouth prop that can assist both dentists and dental patients in dental treatment.
This product is an adjustable mouth prop that helps patients relax when they are on treatments. The current mouth props do not have chin support to help dental patients relax thus this mouth prop was built having a tool with a simple adjusting mechanism to be used by dentists to assist patients who have difficulty keeping their mouths open wide and steady. Some mouth props are too big and they get in the way during dental procedures. This mouth prop offers a variety of sizes to suit patients who have various physical characteristics. It is adjustable, light, comfortable and easy to use. This mouth prop can also be used on children to make dental treatments less stressful for them and the dentists.
