Raya Open House in UPM - A Joyful Affair

SERDANG, 29 Sept – Held in a jovial setting and 5000 guests delightfully entertained, Eid celebration held in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) went smoothly with everyone leaving with a big smile.

The guests were spoilt for choice.

The event was attended by Vice Chancellor of UPM, Prof. Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Nik Mustapha R. Abdullah and the university’s management and aimed to foster closer relationship among UPM’s staff and students.

This year’s event was put together by the University’s Social and Welfare Committee led by the Office of Marketing and Communication.

UPM’s Women Association (PERMATA) big heartedly allocated a contribution to 46 single mothers and 42 orphans as well as the physical challenged (OKU) individuals. The contribution was presented by Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic and International, Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris.

The single mothers are among UPM staff and contribution is also distributed to two staff raising OKU and terminally ill children.

An entertaining performance by Bienda, Sheeda and Pian Cecupak wrapped up the celebration.
