MEDIA & INFORMATION WARFARE : A GLOBAL CHALLENGE IN THE 21ST CENTURY
The International Conference is an opportunity for local and international experts, media practitioners, consultants, researchers, academics and non-academics to share knowledge in the study of media and information warfare.
The objectives of this International Conference on Media and Information Warfare : A Global Challenge in the 21st Century (M-I-War2007) are as follows:
* To synergize scholarly and practical activities among academicians, international and local experts, researchers and journalists to allow an intellectual and practical discourse of the proliferation of communication and media studies
* To converse on competing dialogues on the role of mass media in information diffusion and intervention in time of conflict in the globalisation era
* To expound the epistemological adventures in novel ideas and innovative development in the media and information warfare studies
About M-I-War2007
The International Conference entitled "Media and Information Warfare: A Global Challenge in the 21st Century" (M-I-War2007) is an opportunity for local and international experts, media practitioners, consultants, researchers, academics and non-academics to share knowledge in the study of media and information warfare.
This conference aims at promoting ideas, thoughts and information exchange-fare among international and local academics, non-academics experts and researchers who are involved directly and indirectly in the media and information warfare discourses. It also helps in building networking, strategic planning and smart partnership towards enhancing the field of media and information warfare.
About Centre for Media and Information Warfare Studies (CMIWS)
The Centre for Media and Information Warfare Studies (CMIWS) was established in 2005 as a centre of excellence within the Faculty of Communications and Media Studies, University Teknologi Mara, Malaysia. Its role is to further the interdisciplinary study of media and information warfare in order to produce versatile and strategically knowledgeable experts who are proficient in analyzing and addressing pertinent issues through the application of scholarship, research, skills and strategies.
