Felix Christian Haas is a development consultant, advisor and researcher with interest in the interface of business and politics/policy in Southeast Asia (specifically Myanmar) and Europe. He is open to any collaboration, joint publications or to providing commentary on economic development related issues in Asia (e.g. trade, investment), on geopolitical and international relations as well as on issues related to Myanmar.

Felix Haas is a German independent consultant specializing in private sector development and economic governance. He concurrently serves as Managing Director of Progress Asia Consulting and provides advisory support to several businesses and think tanks.

His consulting work focuses thematically on industrial policy, trade and investment promotion, enterprise development and the management of business operations in fragile or high-risk environments. Throughout his career, Felix Haas has worked to bridge government and private sector perspectives and has contributed to initiatives that promote market efficiency, economic reform and responsible investment. He is well experienced in coordinating with government institutions, business associations and development partners on market analyses and the implementation of market systems development projects.

Felix Haas has frequently performed research assignments in small teams, has coordinated quantitative and qualitative data collection and has analytically synthesized findings. In this context, his experience in leading project and program evaluations and similar quantitative studies related to development programming is likewise highlighted.

He holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Technische Universität Berlin and a Master’s in General Management from Toulouse Business School.
