□ On January 19, DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) announced that Choong Kon Lee, Chairman of SL Corporation, donated KRW 300 million to DGIST as part of its development fund to support the cultivation of innovative talent and the strengthening of research capacity in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
□ The donation will be used to advance DGIST’s AI-driven research and educational environment and to nurture talent in future convergent technologies, which the institute has identified as strategic priorities. By positioning AI as a core growth engine, DGIST is strengthening advanced science and technology research and industry collaboration, thereby contributing to enhanced regional and national technological competitiveness.
