Universiti Brunei Darussalam

Universiti Brunei Darussalam will develop human resources through excellence in teaching, research and services in areas of importance to Brunei Darussalam. Teaching is the University's primary mission. Universiti Brunei Darussalam aims to produce quality graduates suitably equipped in terms of knowledge, skills, attitudes, moral and spiritual values, to support the development needs of the nation and consistent with the national philosophy. Research is the University's second mission.

As the nation's leading tertiary institution, Universiti Brunei Darussalam will promote and undertake research, particularly applied research, in areas where it has a comparative advantage and in accordance with national needs. The University's third mission is service to the community. As the University's staff are highly skilled in a large and growing number of specialisation, Universiti Brunei Darussalam will make this expertise available to the community.

The University has nine academic Faculties namely: Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Faculty of Business, Economics & Policy Studies, Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Institute of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Science, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education, Academy of Brunei Studies, Institute of Medicine, Centre of Islamic Banking, Finance & Management and Language Centre.
