Jakarta, 6 September 2016 – The 5th biennial Water Loss Asia 2016 (WLA 2016) Conference and Exhibition will be held on 6 – 7 September 2016 at Holiday Inn Jakarta Kemayoran. Themed “Managing NRW the Asian Way and Enabling Indonesian Water Utilities”, the trade event will address issues in water loss management in Asia, with a focus on Indonesia, which is one of the region’s most populous nations.

Jointly organized by Protemp Group and PERPAMSI, the official body for water utilities in Indonesia, the event is supported by the Water Loss Asia Industry Group and WaterLinks. WLA 2016 is a 2-day event comprising a Conference, Exhibition, and a Workshop, and is expected to draw over 3,000 visitors from the water sector seeking new solutions for NRW Management and opportunities to network, share and collaborate.

The Conference
The WLA 2016 Conference brings together key industry players, policy makers and experts to exchange knowledge on how NRW is being successfully managed in Asia. Many parts of the developing world today still face the challenge of integrating systems end-to-end to provide real-time leak management, which is the only way to get reliable, measurable data. The Conference will serve as a platform to discuss these issues and find solutions to them, and remains the ideal venue to establish partnerships and network with potential clients in Asia’s NRW industry.

The Exhibition
The Exhibition at Water Loss Asia 2016 will serve as the ideal platform for visitors to discover the latest equipment and technologies for water loss management. Among the technologies and solutions to be featured here are data recorders, IT solutions, leak detection equipment meters, monitoring and control systems, pipe/cable location equipment and many other categories.

Specialized Workshop
A specialized workshop on “Effective NRW Water Balance and NRW Audits” will be held at WLA 2016, targeting industry professionals involved with implementing and managing NRW programmes. This workshop will equip participants with the knowledge to conduct an accurate NRW water audit, by undertaking an NRW water balance analysis using a standard format developed by the IWA Water Loss Specialist Group.

Opening Ceremony
Cahyo Kumolo, the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, will be officiating Water Loss Asia 2016 at 9:00 am at Holiday Inn Jakarta Kemayoran on 6 September 2016. This will be followed by the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PERPAMSI and the Australian Water Association (AWA).
