The following 2 scientific officer positions are available to work on a Wellcome Trust-funded 3-year research project on molecular epidemiological and population genetic studies on knowlesi malaria:
1. Laboratory-based in Kuching. Minimum qualifications: BSc (at least 2nd class upper) in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field. Must have good command of English (MUET band 6 or equivalent). Expected to register for MSc or PhD.
2. Field Biologist to work in rural areas of Sarawak. Minimum qualifications; BSc (at least 2nd class upper) in Biology, Zoology or related field. Ability to speak Iban would be an advantage.
Monthly starting salary: RM 1,652 (basic), RM 669 (allowances).
Monthly EPF contribution by employer of RM 198.
