NIMS Signs Comprehensive Collaborative Agreement with ITRI

The National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan has concluded a Comprehensive Collaborative Agreement (a sister institute agreement) with Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Republic of China (Taiwan).

ITRI, founded in 1973, is a national research organization, with a mission of conduction technological research, promoting industrial development, creating economic value and improving social welfare for Taiwan. ITRI is not only Taiwan’s largest applied technology R&D institution, focusing on six areas including Nanotechnology and Green Energy, but also a pioneer in creating Taiwan’s high tech industry. ITRI consists of 3 business development units, 6 core laboratories and 7 technology centers, and among its 6,000 employees more than 1,000 hold Ph.D. degree.

This agreement will not only reinforce the existing collaborations between ITRI and NIMS but also lead to more extensive collaboration and exchange of researchers.
