International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA): ready for the next challenge

On April 1, 2012, MANA enters its second term. This is an accomplishment in which all of us at MANA take great pride, and one that would not be possible without your support over the last four and a half years.

At the same time, MANA's new building is completed. We look forward to putting this long-awaited facility into full use to make even further advancements in world-leading research.

To commemorate these two highly significant events, we are presenting major research achievements accomplished thus far at MANA in a special editon of the journal Advanced Materials (Volume 24, issue 2).

The cover depicts MANA's new building together with a molecular assembly as a comparison of macroscopic architecture and nano-architecture. The journal features fourteen papers describing cutting-edge research as well as two essays by Nobel Laureates and MANA Advisors Dr. Heinrich Rohrer and Dr. Harry Kroto.
