The National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) is the leading agency on nanotechnology development in Thailand. Established on 13 August 2003, NANOTEC is one of the four research agency operating under the jurisdiction of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NASDA) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
Thailand has developed the country's infrastructure to world class standards, which supports the growth of key economic sectors and has led to the development of comprehensive industrial clusters.
It has established strong links with leading universities in Thailand in the form of Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology (COENs) which consist of more than 400 nanotechnology researchers, as well as with leading nanotechnology centers overseas.
At the meeting with NIMS President and executives, both representatives have exchanged information and opinions about the current state of materials research in each country.
NANOTEC and NIMS are eager to build more cooperative relations and agreed to facilitate researcher's exchange.
