Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) will create history when it sets up the Nuclear Pharmacy Centre which will also function as a cancer research centre.
Not many people are aware that cancer is the number one cause of deaths in Malaysia.
In view of this, the School of Pharmacy has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with five local and international institutions and a well-known conglomerate to ensure that the Nuclear Pharmacy Centre will become a reality.
In his speech during the Pharmacy Carnival 2009, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syed Azhar Syed Sulaiman said that the effects of globalization will change the landscape of research, scientific discoveries and technology.
