□ On December 1, 2025, DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) and AJIN P&P, a corrugated cardboard and packaging materials company, signed an MOU for mutual cooperation and joint development. Through this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate in earnest to share R&D capabilities, strengthen industry-academia-research collaboration, and promote regional industrial innovation.
□ AJIN P&P, located in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, specializes in corrugated cardboard, kraft paper, and boxboard. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for delivery and packaging increased, leading to significant growth. Currently, it has become a mid-sized company posting annual sales of KRW 300 billion.
□ Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to strengthen cooperation across various areas, including ▲the promotion of industry-academia collaborative research projects and support for outstanding researchers, ▲conducting joint R&D and projects, ▲co-hosting seminars, workshops, and academic events, and ▲collaborating in other areas for mutual development.
□ In particular, AJIN P&P contributed KRW 100 million toward the development fund to actively support joint research and industry-academia collaboration activities with DGIST. This contribution will be used in various areas to secure future growth engines, such as research support, talent development, and the operation of industry-academia cooperation programs.
□ DGIST President Kunwoo Lee stated, "AJIN P&P's contribution to the development fund will be a significant boost to regional innovation and industry-academia cooperation. We will further enhance the dissemination of research results in society by collaborating with industries."
□ Meanwhile, AJIN P&P CEO Jeong Yeon-wook said, "There has been no interaction between us despite being in the same area. We will use this opportunity to combine DGIST's research capabilities with our industrial experience to create new growth opportunities."
