Announcement of Launching the GIGA Program (Global 30 Project) Website

Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) launched a website for the GIGA Program (Global Information and Communication Technology and Governance Academic Program), which is scheduled to start in the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies in September 2011.

This program subsidized by the Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization (Global 30) of MEXT, offers international undergraduate course that core lectures are held solely in English. The course is geared to train students to cultivate creativity in the field of advanced information and communication technology (ICT), and governance knowledge and skills to utilize such creativity in the real world. The program enables students to earn all credits required for graduation (124 credits) in English.

The website features range of information about the GIGA program, such as curriculum, team of faculty members, life in Japan and the appeals of SFC for international students, and application outline for admission. In addition to the list of FAQs and answers, an inquiry contact form is prepared to support communication with students in the world who are interested in the program.

The website is available in English. A brief overview is also available in Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
