UiTM Excelled At I-TEX 2007 With 44 Medals And Awards
UiTM once again excelled during its participation at the recent 19th International Invention, Innovation, Industrial Design & Technology Exhibition (I-TEX ‘07) held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 18 until 20 May 2007. I-TEX ‘07 showcased more than 400 inventions from public institutions of higher learning, corporations as well as individual inventors. Participants at this year’s exhibition and competition also came from various countries such as Russia, Croatia, Hungary, Iran, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This exhibition is a platform for inventors to showcase and promote their inventions to the industry and society at large.
Universiti Teknologi MARA through Institute of Research, Development & Commercialisation (IRDC) exhibited 58 research products from various faculties, departments and branches, making it the largest delegation at this year’s event. UiTM won 44 medals in total namely eight gold medals, 20 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals. UiTM also received four international awards namely; the ARCA Award (Croatia), British Inventors Society Award (BIS) and INPEX Award (USA). The GENEVA Award (Switzerland) was also won by UiTM for receiving the highest gold medals. Congratulations to all winners!!.
