New Scholarship Program Established with Ting Hsin International Group

With generous support from the Ting Hsin International Group (Headquarters: Tianjin, China; Chairman: Wei Ing-Chou), Waseda University (President: Katsuhiko Shirai), established a new scholarship program to recruit outstanding Chinese and Taiwanese university students as full-time Master's program students in the Waseda University graduate schools.

 This scholarship program will provide students seeking to enter Master's programs in the Waseda University graduate schools with approximately 3 million yen per year for 2 years to cover tuition and living expenses. This is the largest scholarship program at Waseda, and it is one of the most generous scholarships for which international students coming to Japan can apply.

 The first scholarships will be disbursed starting in September 2010. Scholarships will be granted to approximately 40 students from 7 universities: Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, National Taiwan University, and National Chengchi University. In the future, This scholarship will be open to every university in China and Taiwan.
