A one-week intensive course "Building Fire Protection & Safety" was held from December 14th to 18th at the Urban & Architectural Institute, National University of Civil Engineering in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Kuala Lumpur – A team of researchers from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) walked away with 2 Gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals at the BioMalaysia 2009 exhibition held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
